What This Product Does

CorePolicyApp is a native Salesforce managed package for data retention and deletion governance on Salesforce Core. It lets organizations translate a written retention or disposal schedule into rules that execute automatically inside Salesforce, with a defensible audit trail of what was disposed of, when, and under which policy.

CorePolicyApp operates on Salesforce Core only. Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other platforms are out of scope.

Who It's For

CorePolicyApp is built for organizations that are accountable for a records retention or disposal schedule (for example, under sector-specific guidance or public records law) and need that schedule applied consistently to records held in Salesforce, with evidence that disposal happened correctly.

How It Works

Policy Rules. Each rule is configured against an object, a trigger field (such as last activity date or a custom date field), and a retention period. Rules can include selection filters (which records the rule applies to) and bypass filters (exclusions, such as records under legal hold).

Execution. Rules run on a scheduler. Matching records are either purged, hard deleted, or held for review, depending on rule configuration.

Audit Trail. Every deletion action generates a Record Deletion Audit entry, capturing the record identifier, deletion date, the user or rule responsible, and the reason for disposal.

Review and Suppression. Records that are found but excluded by a bypass filter are held for review rather than silently skipped. Suppressed records can be restored.

Setup

CorePolicyApp is installed as a managed package from a sandbox or production Salesforce org. Configuration is done through the Policy Rule Workspace and Policy Engine Dashboard, both included in the package. No code changes are required for standard configuration.
